Travel to Australia and experience a wilderness resort which is a retreat from the ordinary world - Australia's first wilderness habitat.
Situated in Aboriginal Arnhem Land on the Cobourg Peninsula, the most northern tip of the Northern Territory, the lodge is surrounded by the pristine wilderness of Garig Gunak Barlu National Park including the Cobourg Marine Park. This secluded resort offers a magical environment for your Australian vacation, with unique adventures and experiences. You can do it all, just a little, or absolutely nothing - the choice is yours.
The accommodation consists of 23 unique tropical Habitats which are hexagonal in shape and secluded in the bush. Five sides are open to give you spectacular views, with screened louvered shades to admit the tropical breeze. The Habitats incorporate the best in tropical living, avoid the need for air-conditioning, and minimise environmental disturbance. Each Habitat features two queen size beds, ceiling fans, mini-bar/refrigerator, iron/ironing board, tea & coffee making facilities and your own private 'garden bathroom'.
The main lodge, called the 'Social Hub', features a welcoming bar and restaurant that opens onto the adjacent covered timber deck areas, providing tropical outdoor dining with views over the bay. The freshwater lagoon swimming pool is shaded by palm trees and ferns.
The superb cuisine includes the finest produce with emphasis on local seafood, meats, vegetables, and tropical fruits. Special dinners and dietary requirements can be catered for.
The cocktail bar/lounge is open all day and is stocked with quality Australian wines, a range of spirits, liqueurs, champagnes and beers.
This wilderness resort offers a unique range of adventures for individuals and groups including:
- Guided Nature Adventure Walks
- Wildlife/Exploration Safaris & Cruises
- Sport Fishing
- Historic Victoria Settlement Safari
- Explore Unspoilt Deserted Beaches & Wildlife Habitats.
The natural environment in this region is essentially intact as human influence has been minor.
The world's largest herd of the highly endangered Banteng (Bos javanicus), coexist on the Cobourg Peninsula with Buffalo, Timor Ponies, Sambar Deer, Wild Boar, Agile Wallabies, Antillopine Wallaroos, Bandicoots, Quolls and Goannas. Birds are abundant throughout the upland and around the lodge. The marine environment is populated by many species of fish as well as Crocodiles, Dolphins, Whales and Dugong.
The flora of the region ranges from upland monsoonal open to closed forests, through to Paperbark Wetlands, unique Nypa Palm Forests and Coastal Grasslands.
Your Australian vacation will be a total experience of wilderness.

Testimonials
This Wilderness Lodge is a unique and beautiful place, a truly wonderful experience."
Olivia Newton-John
"We have wonderful memories of our stay at your resort - the beauty, the habitats, animals, fish, sharks, crocs, Victoria Settlement, the resident python - and the food - wow!
But the most memorable feature was the staff. You were all energetic, enthusiastic and very professional. The high standard of service was maintained at all times - a challenge for staff in such an unusual and confined setting".
Max and Judy Amos, Australia
"Thank you so much for making our time at your Lodge so wonderful.
My wife Serena and myself had the most relaxing and exciting time. The resort itself was unbelievable, the food was brilliant and the service was outstanding. You really made us feel like we were the only people there.
The Blue Water Fishing trip I did with Dave was all that I dreamed of. Hopefully next time I can catch the elusive Barra or a 50 kg Giant Trevally. We hope to one day visit again but this time for a few more days".
Paul and Serena Demko, Victoria
"The best kept secret in Australia - maybe the world!
And we should know we have been to most places."
Captain Mike Frank, 'Billionaires' Global Expedition
"What a great place to unwind and forget about the hum drum of everyday life. The lodge and the habitat accommodation are amazing, a sort of outdoor living indoors, or indoor living outdoors, incredible fishing, fabulous food and wine and the staff were all fantastic."
Phil Pearson, Australia
"Greetings from the USA. Mark and myself are finally back in the USA after such a wonderful trip. We would like to thank the entire team at Seven Spirit for everything everyone did to make our trip back to Seven Spirit such a delightful experience. We enjoyed meeting you all and so enjoyed learning so much more about the flora and fauna and more about the Aboriginal folk. Our stay was way too short - but we will be back with out a doubt in our minds, this time we will not make it such a long break before coming back". Our fond regards,
Ann & Mark Moll, USA
"A perfect antidote to a stressful life. Wonderful life - fishing with BJ topped it all."
Frank Khan, Ireland
"What a marvellous time we had in your lodge, Your facility is magnificent, but what I remember most, and what will bring me back, is the kind hospitality of your staff."
Alfred H.Balm - Calgary Alberta, Canada
"We hope to get back for another visit in a year or two but in the meantime keep up the great service and look after that wonderful location. We will not forget our stay nor the wonderful staff and service we received and will be highly recommending your Lodge as THE place to go for a break away from it all."
