Here we stay in cabin accommodation for two nights. After dinner we watch the Eureka Rebellion, an event in 1884 where angry miners revolted against the local authorities because of miners licence fees. This is where you will see how different North East Victoria is compared to the South West Coast of Victoria. |
|
Day Nine
Today we take advantage of another rest day. Swim in the crystal clear "King River", lay in the sun, fish for trout, or admire the scenery as you stroll up the river. At some stage today, we will go in search of the elusive platypus in our secret location, and take an evening walk to spot wombats and kangaroos in their natural environment. You can ask your guide to teach you about camping, survival techniques, or four wheel driving. Evenings under the stars around the campfire will be a great way to spend the last few days of this fantastic Australian camping vacation getaway. During this time you can learn authentic Australian campfire cooking, from toast to roast! |
