Advice on motorhomes and routes in Australia?
Hello – Im going back to Australia at the end of the year, the last months trip, we visited Melbourne -12 Apostles, Apollo Bay, Fairy penguins and took in Melbourne cup. Brisbane – Australia zoo, fraser island, Sydney, Blue Mountains, Palm Beach. We travel mainly by Virgin Blue but hired a car and drove from Melbourne to Sydney via the Blue mountains, but this time we are thinking about a motorhome and caravan parks, to see a lttile more of the country and keep the costs down. Although we need to incorporate Sydney for New Years eve and a period of time in Brisbane to catch up with Friends, we were considering focusing more of our time in Western Australia as we havent visited any places there. As it looks like the flights are double the price we paid last time, due to the time of year we are going,we need to keep costs down where we can, but still dont want to waste a day of our time over there. I would really appreciate any advice you can offer. Thanks in advance.
hello, we drove from Brisbane – sydney in a camper van last Nov! FANTASTIC!!!!! this drive is fantatstic – we did it in a week, Byron bay ,Woy Woy, Forster + Tuncurry – just t name some truely perfect places. We also took this choice as we found the flights had jumped up loads (blomin tax man!!) just allow extra time as the roads are rubbish in some areas ( no signs either!!) and get a good map!
