7am pick up - We then travel down the Hume Highway to Glenrowan, made famous by the well-known bush ranger Ned Kelly and his gang (stopping for morning tea along the way). Here we witness the re-enactment of the siege which led to the downfall of the Kelly gang and his capture, through animatronics and computerised robots. We then make our way to Whitfield where we stop for lunch. After lunch we travel up a winding mountain road and admire the views as we make our way into the Australian bush, and onto "Power's Lookout" (made famous by, and named after, another notorious bushranger "Harry Power"). Hear the story about the man who became Ned Kelly's teacher. After witnessing the beautiful and breathtaking views that overlook the King Valley, we make our way down the mountain, enjoying the sightseeing and landscape as we travel through this great region in search of "Paradise Falls", hidden in the bushland of Australia. The formation of this beautiful and amazing waterfall will have you telling others and taking plenty of photos. We then begin our journey back to Melbourne via Mansfield where we stop for dinner, but not before we visit the "Kelly Tree" at Stringy Bark Creek, the location where Ned Kelly and his gang shot and killed three policemen, an event which made him the most wanted bushranger in Australia.
We make our backpacker tours a memorable experience for you.
